Other laws include annual increases based on the consumer price index. There are states with minimum wage rates as of September 2021. Some states have minimum wage rates that are above the federal level but without plans to reach the $15 mark through scheduled increases or indexing.

It’s difficult to manage minimum wage rates in multiple states. With many states closing in on their scheduled increases, compliance teams will have to move to tracking rates.
