Men view cognitive strengths as a better predictor of life satisfaction, according to a Croatian sample. Both genders saw that gratitude, hope, and zest were related to higher life satisfaction, as well as the tendency to live in accordance with the strengths that are valued in their culture.

To winnow the large number of psychological constructs with ties to well-being, researchers need to examine them simultaneously over time.
