An outline is a framework for presenting the main and supporting ideas for a topic. It’s easier to translate your ideas into words and sentences when you have an outline for them.

Trying to come up with a topic from a list of possibilities is difficult, but understanding your essay’s larger purpose is just as important. You can add more detail by including examples, quotes, facts, theories and personal anecdotes.

You will save time because your paper will be more logical and focused. Good writers review and revise their essays until they feel their work is the best it can possibly be, because writing is a repetitive process. You are ready to start writing your essay and put your ideas into full sentences.
