I see many that are hurting more than helping job seekers present their qualifications for a new role when I look at the resumes they’re applying with. If your resume looks like it’s been put together, you’re not going to make a good first impression, and the recruiters won’t want to read the specific content.

One page is equivalent to 10 years’ experience. Do bold and italics emphasize important information?

If your resume is over a single page, be brief in these irrelevant areas. If applicable, are numbers, data, dollar amounts or percentages used to quantify job duties and results?
