The purpose of your letter should be re-stated in the closing paragraph. “Thank you for your time and consideration” or “please let me know if you’d like to discuss in detail over the phone” are some pleasantries to end the letter with. You might want to use “sincerely” for your close if you have a formal relationship with them.

A separate mailing lets the recipient know that other communication will be forthcoming. For easy reference, you can include the number of additional documents in parentheses.
